Pastor will Join me in defending Prayer?

Honourable Roy Moore,

Many years ago we meet in Albertville, AL where at the time I pastored a local church in the community and you presided as Judge. Since 1997 alot of changes have happened in America and I desire wisdom and direction and wanted to employ your wisdom and assistance as these issues are outside the caliber of what I am use to dealing with on a routine basis.

Please read the following that I wrote to our attorney general here in Virginia regarding banning State Police trooper chaplains from using the Name of Jesus in public Prayers. Also, the original issue is clearly written about at http://www.familyfoundation.org/alert%2010_02_08.htm

Now that the media has cooled off some, I remain determined to push this issue as I see it relates to silencing all ministers in the future based on this ruling being upheld.  I hope other pastors will join me in this prayerful endeavor to be heard from.

I include for your review the actual reply I received in opposing this restriction ( as an attachment) on the rights of the chaplains from the Governors office last week, as well as a reply from a  former & retired concerned State Police Chaplain as noted below.

What steps can I ( we) take next?  How loud should I ( we)  get? What is the most effective way to be heard from?

I would really like to speak with you personally if your schedule allows. Your "Project Jeremiah" http://www.morallaw.org/Project_Jeremiah.htm  seems exactly what we Virginian pastors and all pastors need for such a time as this. I am including this correspondence in BCC to a number pastors in Virginia.

BCC: numerous Pastors

CC: Family Foundation of Virginia

Sincerely

Peter Migner, pastor

Peter:

This is issue is very important to me, since I was one of the original chaplains for the State Police.  I served that ministry for 23 years.  It was heart breaking to hear such a thing was going on.  Please let me know what the "government" officials have to say in response to your inquiries.
