A man named Lance G. Bird
Lance G. Bird
Lance G. Bird is pastor, friend and mentor. When I first came to know the Lord some 20 years ago Lance was my first pastor. Little did I know how much he would mean to my life all these years later? Lance was the pastor of the Saco Biddeford Church of the Nazarene in Saco, Maine. He started the church and over the course of some 13 years or so he moved the church from rental facility to other churches buildings growing the people and the church until finally they purchased land.
It was under pastor Bird’s ministry that I discover my call from God. I will always remember how patience he was with me with my millions of questions about God, faith and Jesus Christ. When I kept asking him about “how do you know you are called to preach”, Lance would direct me to God and His word and to learn to listen to the Holy Spirit.
I remember how he gave me my first opportunity to preach when I was 19 years old. I was basically a high school druggie who worked in a textile mill along the river going nowhere fast when I got saved and led to Lance Church. It was after cleaning up my act and living for Jesus when the tug of ministry began. I was so nervous that day and he said,” just share your story and it will be fine. It was fine indeed because it came from my heart and it was exciting to preach the gospel before a group of people and the pastor just sat and listened too.
It was in the weeks and months to follow that my call became clearer and I spent more time with Pastor Bird learning the lessons of ministry first hand before any formal bible school training. I remember having him take me along to a funeral service of someone who committed suicide. Boy did I have questions on that funeral. And he just seemed to answer those questions with great love and clarity.
Well the years passed. He baptized me in the Christian faith in lake in Maine. He attended my graduation from Eastern Nazarene College. He performed the wedding ceremony when I got married in Kissimmee, Florida. He dedicated a few of my children to the Lord. He preached in all my Churches that I was either on staff or pastured and just recently visited my current ministry in Virginia after 9 years and just last week went to see the ministry location of where I’ll be ministering in 2009 before I even started. Talk about support and love over the years. Could anyone ask for a better pastor friend? I am blessed!!!
He’s been there for lots of cups of coffee and great discussions and laughs. We went to Red Sox games along the way together too. He’s more than a pastor to me even after all these years. He’s more than a friend as well. He friend, mentor, pastor and Father type figure as well as a mighty man of God! He is my inspiration to this day. He never got rich as the world would deem such, and he never had a lot of this worlds stuff, but he sure does have a lot of friends scattered throughout his life and I am blessed to have been one of those people in his life.
As He was honored to meet Rev. Billy Graham years ago I am equally honored to know Lance G. Bird today.
Lance and his wife Merry live in South Carolina now and are still precious friends and mentors to this day. I thank God for a man called Lance. If I can have half the influence on others that this man of God has had in my life I will have finished well too.
Thanks Lance for being such a man of integrity. You are indeed in my Hebrew Hall of faith for life!

A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America
Thanksgiving is a time for families and friends to gather together and express gratitude for all that we have been given, the freedoms we enjoy, and the loved ones who enrich our lives. We recognize that all of these blessings, and life itself, come not from the hand of man but from Almighty God.
Every Thanksgiving, we remember the story of the Pilgrims who came to America in search of religious freedom and a better life. Having arrived in the New World, these early settlers gave thanks to the Author of Life for granting them safe passage to this abundant land and protecting them through a bitter winter. Our Nation's first President, George Washington, stated in the first Thanksgiving proclamation that "It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor." While in the midst of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln revived the tradition of proclaiming a day of thanksgiving, asking God to heal our wounds and restore our country.
Today, as we look back on the beginnings of our democracy, Americans recall that we live in a land of many blessings where every person has the right to live, work, and worship in freedom. Our Nation is especially thankful for the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who protect these rights while setting aside their own comfort and safety. Their courage keeps us free, their sacrifice makes us grateful, and their character makes us proud. Especially during the holidays, our whole country keeps them and their families in our thoughts and prayers.
Americans are also mindful of the need to share our gifts with others, and our Nation is moved to compassionate action. We pay tribute to all caring citizens who reach out a helping hand and serve a cause larger than themselves.
On this day, let us all give thanks to God who blessed our Nation's first days and who blesses us today. May He continue to guide and watch over our families and our country always.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim November 27, 2008, as a National Day of Thanksgiving. If we do not see a great revival in America ministry will become more challenging as darkness increases. Please continue to pray for and witness to the immoral lost souls you know in your local area. Homosexualist Anarchists Storm Michigan Church During Sunday Service

LANSING, MI, November 11, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - On Sunday, November 9, a band of about 30 homosexuals stormed a church in Lansing, Michigan. Some were well dressed and were stationed inside Mount Hope Church, where they pretended to be normal Sunday worshippers; others were outside dressed in pink and black.
The group of self-described homosexual anarchists, Bash Back., claims the evangelical church is guilty of "transphobia and homophobia." The group says that it fights for "liberation," opposes "all forms of state power," and urges members not to condemn certain methods of promoting their cause "on the grounds that the State deems it to be illegal." During the service the protesters outside the church were beating on buckets, shouting "Jesus was a homo" on a megaphone and carrying an upside-down pink cross. They distributed fliers to passersby.
When the signal was given the protesters inside the church rose from their seats and began loudly to disrupt the service. The fire alarm was pulled inside the church, protesters stormed the pulpit and a huge rainbow-colored flag was unfurled with the inscription, "IT'S OKAY TO BE GAY. BASH BACK."
The church was vandalized, obscenities were shouted and worshippers were confronted. According to Right Michigan the protestors in their demonstration also used condoms, glitter, confetti, and pink fabric. A video camera wielded by the homosexualists attempted to capture violent reactions from members of the congregation, of which there were none. Right Michigan also reports that approximately an hour after the demonstration two of the demonstrators were found by security in a public restroom in the church together. There were no arrests.
Bash Back. issued a press release on their website after the fact, which admitted that "the group was extremely loud and wildly offensive." The group described Mount Hope Church as "deplorable" and "anti-queer." The release concluded, "Let it be known: So long as bigots kill us in the streets, this pack of wolves will continue to BASH BACK." Catholic League president Bill Donohue today responded, saying, "The real story here is the refusal of the mainstream media to cover what is surely one of the most disturbing events of 2008. If an organized group of gay bashers stormed a gay church, there is not a single sentient person in the United States who wouldn't know about it. "This is urban fascism come to America's heartland. It must be quickly stopped before it gets out of control. We are contacting Mike Cox, the Attorney General of Michigan, calling for an investigation."
Bash Back.'s actions in Michigan follow several days of homosexualist demonstrations outside California churches, protesting the passage of Proposition 8.

Voting Americans! A MUST SEE BEFORE OR AFTER NOV 4TH ELECTIONS regarding Obama, McCain, or any third party candidate
Dear Voting Americans,
I was told about a certain video clip from a former congressman who spoke at the world's largest Evangelical University 20 minutes from my home. This is so powerful that regardless of which country in the world someone lived it that it speaks truth on how to discern whom to vote for if those people are allowed that freedom as we Americans are allowed.
During the 1 hour convocation service both Governor Kaine who advocated on behalf of Senator Obama spoke and then Former Congressman Bob McEwen spoke for about 30 minutes about just History freedom verses slavery. After Becky and I watched Bob's presentation I felt I needed to share this video clip with those who need a refresher course as I enjoyed about American History and politics. Bob teaches how anyone can know within any 3 minutes of a politicians speech if they will represent the people or freedom or slavery.
Even if you already made up your mind about who you are voting for or in my case have already voted I still encourage you to watch this video with a open mind for future election decisions. The first link is right to Bob McEwen and the second clip has about 5 minutes of singing before it goes to Virginia Governor Tim Kaine. This is the best presentation I HAVE EVER SEEN ABOUT VOTING, AMERICAN HISTORY AND the TRUTH about FREEDOM OF LIFE , LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

find a candidate for President of the United States ? As long as it took

place radical wahabbist clerics in our military and prisons as 'chaplains'?
Find a candidate who can get away with lying about
their father being a 'freedom fighter' when he was actually part of the
most corrupt and violent government in Kenya 's history. Find a candidate
with close ties to The Nation of Islam and the violent Muslim overthrow in
Africa , a candidate who is educated among white infidel Americans but
hides his bitterness and anger behind a superficial toothy smile. Find a
candidate who changes his American name of Barry to the Muslim name of
Barak Hussein Obama, and dares anyone to question his true ties under the
banner of 'racism'. Nurture this candidate in an atmosphere of anti-white
American teaching and surround him with Islamic teachers. Provide him with
a bitter, racist, anti-white, anti-American wife, and supply him with
Muslim middle east connections and Islamic monies. Allow him to be clever
enough to get away with his anti-white rhetoric and proclaim he will give
$834 billion taxpayer dollars to the Muslim controlled United Nations for
use in Africa ..
Install your candidate in an atmosphere of
deception because questioning him on any issue involving Africa or Islam
would be seen as 'bigoted racism'; two words too powerful to allow the
citizenry to be informed of facts. Allow your candidate to employ several
black racist Nation of Islam Louis Farrakhan followers as members of his
Illinois Senatorial and campaign staffs.
Where is the bloodhound American 'free press' who
doggedly overturned every stone in the Watergate case? Where are our
nation's reporters that have placed every Presidential candidate under the
microscope of detailed scrutiny; the same press who pursue Bush's 'Skull
and Bones' club or ran other candidates off with persistent detective and
research work? Why haven't 'newsmen' pursued the 65 blatant lies told by
this candidate during the Presidential primaries? Where are the stories
about this candidate's cousin and the Muslim butchery in Africa ? Since
when did our national press corps become weak, timid, and silent? Why
haven't they regaled us with the long list of socialists and communists who
have surrounded this 'out of nowhere' Democrat candidate or that his church
re-printed the Hamas Manifesto in their bulletin, and that his 'close
pastor friend and mentor' met with Middle East terrorist Moammar Gaddafi,
(Guide of the First of September Great Revolution of the Socialist People's
Libyan Arab Jamahiriya)? Why isn't the American press telling us this
candidate is supported by every Muslim organization in the world?
As an ultimate slap in the face, be blatant in the
fact your candidate has ZERO interest in traditional American values and
has the most liberal voting record in U.S. Senate history. Why has the
American main stream media clammed-up on any negative reporting on Barak
Hussein Obama? Why will they print Hillary Rodham Clinton's name but never
write his middle name? Is it not his name? Why, suddenly, is ANY
information about this candidate not coming from main stream media, but
from the blogosphere by citizens seeking facts and the truth? Why isn't our
media connecting the dots with Islam? Why do they focus on 'those bad
American soldiers' while Islam slaughters non Muslims daily in 44 countries
around the globe? Why does our media refer to Darfur as 'ethnic cleansing'
instead of what it really is; Muslims killing non Muslims! There is enough
strange, anti- American activity surrounding Barak Hussein Obama to peek
the curiosity of any reporter. WHERE IS OUR INVESTIGATIVE MEDIA!?

There is terrorism we can see, smell and fear, but

about who and what is really peaceful. Where is our investigative press?
Any criticism of Islam or their intentions, even though Islamic leaders
state their intentions daily around the globe, brings-forth a volley of
'racist' from the left-wing Democrat crowd.
Lies and deception behind a master plan - the
ingredients for 'The Manchurian Candidate' or the placement of an
anti-American President in our nation's White House? Is it mere coincidence
that an anti-capitalist run for President at the same time Islamic sharia
finance and law is trying to make advancing strides into the United States
? Is it mere coincidence this same candidate wants to dis-arm our nuclear
capability at a time when terrorist Muslim nations are expanding their
nuclear weapons capability? Is it mere coincidence this candidate wants to
reduce our military at a time of global jihad from Muslim nations?

Elections locally
Just found out in our county ( Amerst, VA) we have had 2000 more people registered to vote since last election and 1000 of those this past year. A total of 19,300 registered voters in our county.
